Usually I do well in large groups, but last night’s date night at our church was different. Apart from my husband, we knew not one person, we are still new to the church. I honestly felt a bit awkward sitting in a group table with three other couples who have a long history of knowing each other. They were kind, and very joyful people. I didn’t realize how difficult it is to walk into people’s life’s and begin friendships at this stage in life. Everyone seems comfortable with the people they already have. I wonder if I have done this to others. Made them feel outcasted. Apart from that, the event was fun, full of laughs.
